He brings nearly a decade of experience in identifying, creating, and growing business partnerships at global technology companies and start-ups, most recently at StackAdapt, an award-winning programmatic native advertising platform.

Prior to joining StackAdapt, Ian led business development at a leading Canadian content marketing agency where he developed a love for online storytelling, photography, and graphic design. Since co-founding Atlas in 2017, Ian has built close, ongoing relationships with numerous patients, patient group leaders, and clients. He’s extremely passionate about telling stories in a way that informs, challenges, and inspires. When he’s not at the office or on set with the video team, Ian enjoys film photography, spending time with family, and supporting Chelsea F.C.

Joyce McCaffrey

Joyce leads Atlas’ long-term vision and strategy, and is responsible for advancing Atlas’ mission of empowering Canadians to make informed decisions about their health. With nearly a decade of experience in health care marketing, she has collaborated with many of Canada’s leading patient groups, pharmaceutical companies, and health care experts.

In her current role, Joyce is deeply engaged in creating impactful health care awareness programs. She’s passionate about elevating the patient voice and telling their stories in a manner that conveys their strength and resonates with other Canadians. While she never thought that she’d become an entrepreneur, co-founding Atlas has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences she’s ever had. Outside of work, Joyce is a volunteer and mentor with Photographers Without Borders and an avid traveller.

Garrett O'Neill

Garrett is responsible for guiding the overall scope and direction of Atlas’ digital strategy. Passionate about raising awareness and support for underrepresented health issues in Canada, he’s responsible for managing and executing Atlas’ digital health initiatives and leveraging its world-class content and brand strength to reach and engage audiences online.

Before joining StackAdapt, Garrett held various roles at a leading Canadian content marketing agency. When he isn’t working, he can be found hanging out with his daughter Bridget, on the golf course with some friends, or planning his next family getaway.

Michelle oversees all digital marketing activities at Atlas with well-honed insight and experience. She is fascinated by the ever-expanding reach of the digital world and is driven to innovate new opportunities for creating meaningful personalized touch points to find individuals at the right moment in their own journeys. Michelle has matured Atlas' digital activities into a robust, comprehensive, and thoughtful strategy that makes use of every digital channel imaginable to deliver messaging for Atlas partners, always with compassion.

Michelle came to Atlas with a wealth of experience hard-won in her time as an Enterprise Consultant for a wide variety of prestigious and successful clients. Originally from Ontario, Michelle’s love of adventure and the outdoors has brought her to Vancouver by way of Australia. When she is not spelunking deep in the digital infrastructure of our society, you are likely to find her exploring new flavours on a local patio or walking her pup Maple in the nearby mountains.

In her role as Program Strategist, Mariah is responsible for supporting and developing programs that promote Atlas’ mission of elevating the patient voice. A true storyteller at heart, she’s deeply passionate about working closely with Atlas’ partners to develop effective messaging, and finding creative and innovative ways to reach the right audiences.

Prior to joining Atlas, Mariah completed her Master of Media in Journalism and Communications at Western University. During her career, she has worked in film, video production, branding, and design, and was instrumental in marketing the Forest City Film Festival in its early years. When she isn’t working, Mariah co-hosts a podcast with her friends and enjoys travelling, volunteering, and watching documentaries.

Devon Scardamaglia

Devon Scardamaglia

Senior Program Manager

As Program Manager, Devon oversees all aspects of Atlas’ programs, from reaching out to patients and experts to organizing shoots with videographers and journalists. She brings valuable experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having previously worked in both pharmaceutical sales and marketing for over five years.

In her current role, Devon is responsible for building relationships with patients, patient groups, and clients, overseeing program launches, and ideating on key messaging and communication strategies. She has been critical in scaling Atlas as a platform for advocacy and health education, and is passionate about telling authentic patient stories. Outside of work, Devon likes to spend time outdoors, golf, work out, and watch movies.
